This March, we are racing the Absa Cape Epic, one of the most grueling mountain bike stage races in the world. For 8 days, we will race through some 800km of unspoiled terrain, up 15,000m of accumulated climbing over some of the most magnificent mountain passes in South Africa. We're riding because the invitation to line up at the start of this incredible race is a once in a lifetime opportunity. We're riding to face an ultimate challenge, in a time when we find ourselves hunting for the therapy and power we feel on our bicycles. We're riding because our bicycles are the place where we make the rules, and where our perceptions of what we can conquer are the only limitations on our ability to achieve. This liberation - to go forth bravely, wherever our spirits carry us - is a privilege.
With this privilege, we have decided we want to make this adventure about more than just ourselves. Our goal is to help mobilize others through the Power of Bicycles with a focus on women and children. By working with World Bicycle Relief and Qhubeka, our goal is to distribute 50 bicycles into the field while we are there. Just $147 puts a new bike into the hands of a student trying to get to school or a mother trying to get life-saving healthcare for her child.
Please consider a donation of any size to help change give the gift of joy, hope, and opportunity through the Power of Bicycles.
Thank you xoxo,
Lentine and Bud
