In many places around the world, owning a bicycle means having access to schools, health care and jobs. A bicycle can be the difference between life and death. While watching our happy and healthy son Rémy learn to ride a bike, we felt both blessed and inspired to create a fundraiser and do our small part for the disadvantaged dreamers out there whose lives can be forever changed with the gift of two wheels.

On June 26, 2018, we are setting off on a 12-day cross-country bike trip in France and we hope you'll join us on this journey as we pedal with a purpose (and 20 pounds of cargo!), driven by the goal of delivering 10 dream bikes to people in rural Africa.

Our route begins on the northern coast in Le Havre and ends more than 500 miles later in the French Riviera at the cliffs of Massif des Calanques in Marseille. We'll be averaging 60 miles a day on a visually stunning and physically challenging route, which we'll be documenting along the way. We know this adventure will be the hardest thing we've ever done, but it will be easier to push our bodies and minds beyond limits knowing we're raising awareness and funds for this wonderful cause.

Each Buffalo Bicycle costs just $147, so we're hoping to raise $1470, a modest sum with a huge effect. $25 can provide one wheelset. $50 can provide a mechanic's toolkit. But if each person donates just $5, we know we can get there! Even just supporting the trip by spreading the word is greatly appreciated.
