Cairo to Cape Town

Dearest Friends, Family, and Supporters,

Yet another adventure-packed, two-wheeled expedition is on the horizon for Locos Ciclos. Our previous journey from California to Colombia taught us, among many lessons, that there is no greater form of freedom than that which can be found on a bicycle. Cyclists share this adrenaline-filled taste of freedom in a variety of ways - many during a morning ride to work, some while riding across continents, and others as a means of transportation that allows them to gain independence, commute to school, expand businesses, and ultimately achieve their dreams.

Through the overwhelming support from 29 donors during our last ride the Locos Ciclos team raised enough money to provide 31 bicycles to communities in need. As we ride over 14,000 kilometers from Egypt to South Africa, we hope to increase our total bicycle count to 70. World Bicycle Relief targets rural communities in Africa that have poor infrastructure and gifts durable bicycles to them. Throughout our transcontinental expedition, we are ecstatic to share that we will be visiting some of the impacted communities that have received Buffalo Bicycles, and will have the chance to ride alongside people that have received bicycles from the donations we have raised.

The backbone of World Bicycle Relief is developed upon providing access to independence and livelihood through the power of bicycles. The money raised through the Locos Ciclos fundraising campaign will provide specially designed, locally assembled bicycles to students, healthcare workers, and entrepreneurs in rural Africa and enhance their education, healthcare, and economic opportunities.

For $147, we can provide a World Bicycle Relief bicycle to a student in need. Every donation helps.

Let's get rolling!

-Locos Ciclos (Daniel, Byron, and Quincy)
