I long dreamed of a bike ride across the United States, the courage and a worthy reason were lacking.  Approaching 50 years of age, I made the decision to try, and turned a dream into a plan and finally into reality.  In 2017, I fulfilled that long-held dream on "Tour de SRAM USA 2017" as I visited nearly all of SRAM’s USA offices, and raised over $16,000 for World Bicycle Relief (WBR).

WBR is an organization that provides access to independence and livelihood through The Power of Bicycles. The money raised will help provide specially designed, locally assembled bicycles to students, healthcare workers and entrepreneurs in rural Africa; connecting them with education, healthcare and economic opportunities.  My goal is to raise enough funds to provide 1,000 bikes!  Each WBR Buffalo Bike costs $147, thus the fundraising goal of $147,000.
